Abstract
The Interactive E-Learning Module on Protected Elasmobranchs of India is a comprehensive digital learning platform developed by ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute to enhance awareness and understanding of legally protected sharks and rays in India. The module provides an engaging, self-paced learning experience through interactive multiple-choice assessments based on the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (as amended in 2022), CITES provisions, species identification, conservation status, and sustainable fisheries management. Designed as both a web-based and mobile-compatible application, it serves as an effective educational resource for capacity building among diverse stakeholders.
