Abstract
Cephalopods which include squids, otopus and Loligo are all marine. Presently they are a small group of only about 400 species. But there are fossil records of more than 10,000 cephalopods. This class is the only invertebrate group which contains large dangerous animals on the vertebrate scale of size.
