Abstract

Body rounded in cross-section, fusiform, and more elongated than in Katsuwonus and Euthynnus . Caudal portion remarkably short. while the precaudal portion is very long. Snout short, mouth small. Teeth in both jaws only. Fins small, especially the second dorsal, anal and caudal.
