Abstract
A small mechanized trawler which operated at a depth of 60 to 90 m landed a guitarfish identified as Rhina ancylostoma (Class : Elasmobranchii, Order : Rajiformes, Family : Rhinobatidae) at Vishakhapatnam Harbour On 15 July 2004,. The specimen had the characteristic spiky thorns over the eyes and on the back and shoulders with numerous white spots dorsally on fins, body and tail. The specimen landed is probably immature. The morphometric measurements of the specimen are described in this paper.
