Abstract
This small-sized flatfish is known from waters off northern India and the western Pacific. It is generally found in nearshore, soft-bottom habitats where it is a component of demersal trawl bycatch. The contribution of this species to the bycatch is unknown. Therefore, this species is Data Deficient. Research is urgently needed to determine the contribution of various small-sized flatfishes to trawl bycatch.
