    The course manual on Fisheries Economics is brought out with the aim o f giving assistance to the students in Fisheries Economics. We have attempted to include in it the topics, which are not only relevant hut also interesting to students o f fisheries economics in their Graduate and their Post Graduate programmes. The topics would enable them to get a better g r a sp o f concepts and analytical techniques widely used in fisheries economics research. We would further like to emphasize that this course manual would not be substituting any standard economics textbook.
