Abstract
The national Symposium on 'Research and Development in Marine Fisheries', conducted at Mandapam Camp by CMFR Institute during 16-18 Sept. 1987, was part of the celebrations of the Fortieth anniversary of Independence of the country, which also marked forty years (1947-87) of dedicated and fruitful work in marine fisheries research and development in India.
