Abstract

MPEDA is organising "INDAQUA", the first Giant Aquaculture !show in India with the main objective of creating awareness on ~uge untapped aquaculture potential of our country and to open a new frontier in health food production, employment· and ,'ncome generation to the rural mass, eradication of malnutrition and earning of precious foreign exchange to the nation. "INIJ>AQUA" also provides a unique opportunity to meet all agencies concerned with aquaculture development under one umbrella. On this occasion, MPEDA is bringing out this handbooR on Seafood Recipes. This book mainly deals with the preparatit of delicious dishes from different fish varieties. I would like to place on record the financial support extended by the State Bank of Travancore, Trivandrum, for printing ·this publication. The sustained effort put in by Shri N K R Nain, I?}rector, Integrated Fisheries Project and his colleagues in the' processing division in developing new recipes, testing the ~me and compiling this volume is commendable. Efforts ma~b by Dr. G. Santhana Krishnan in bringing out this publicati~ 1 in association with Shri M Viswakumar, and Shri M Shaji of t.!iPEDA is appreciated. I hope this publication will serve as a useful guide for preparation of delicious dishes.
