Abstract
Mumbai Research Centre has propagated small GI pipe cages for the marginal and small-scale fishermen in village Kalamb (Dist. Thane) in Maharashtra. The low-cost GI pipe circular cages have been stocked with juvenile lobster Panulirus polyphagus. The fishermen are taking care of feeding the lobsters daily and maintaining the cage while a staff of CMFRI is monitoring the growth and health of the lobsters.
