    Abstract

    Cage farming technology is widely recognized as one of the most popular and intensive farming methods in mariculture for increasing fish production. Cage farming method is being adopted in different coastal ecosystems, among which the high saline backwater is considered as an important ecosystem for the culture of diverse species in cages. High saline estuaries are one of the unified ecosystems, considered for livelihood improvement of the selected rural populations.
