Abstract

Farming of Pompano, Trachynotus blochi and Cobia, Rachycentron canadum was initiated in open sea cages for the first time by CMFRI at Karwar. 2000 fingerlings of Cobia with an average length of 9cm and 2500 numbers of Pompano with an average length of 5cm was transported from the Mandapam Regional Centre of CMFRI in October 2011.
