Abstract
The coastal area is the inteface between the land and the sea and may extend inland and seaward to a variable extent. The overall ojective of ICZM is to provide for sustainable use of coastal natural resources and for maintenance of biodiversity. Environmentally planned development adds to the socloeconomic and social posperity of a coastal community in the long term
