Abstract
Environmental conditions of the water, chemical characteristics of the soil and other engineering requirements for aquaculture are presented, The relationship between wa,t er quality variables and fish production for management are discussed. The utilisation of waste lands and unproductive areas selected for identifying the usable parameters are highlighted.
