    One of the main objectives of the Centre of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Mariculture, a sub project of the ICAR/UNDP and Project on Post-graduate Agriculture Research and Education, established at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute in 1979, is to provide advanced training to the scientists and faculty members engaged in research and education in mariculture in overseas institutes, with a view to enhance their professional mcapabilities and to update the knowledge in the latest development in the fields of their specialisation.
