Abstract

From the dawn of civilizat-ion till the turn of the last century, rna ndepended mainly on land for his sustenance. But cultivable land is steaddy decreasing due to tbe rapid growth of population and substantial increase in the utilization of available land for cultivation. It has been estimated that meat provides 45%, milk 35% and m'Hine products the rest of the animal proteins consumed by man.
