Abstract

The Homalopteridae and Gastromyzonidae, which are found in the swift currents of the torrential streaIllil in South Eastern Asia, constitute two remarkable families of Cyprinoid fishes. Habitudinal segregation has induced a great variety of adaptive modifications in them.
