Abstract
Iferine prawn production in the country showed increasing trend in both the years of study and this, has been reflected in the export earnings of the period. 'Considering the importance of the fishery, particularly from the stand point of foreign exchange earned by prawns, investigations directed towards augmenting production will have to be intensified.
