Abstract

Matter or energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can be converted thus says the second law of thermodynamics, which is the cardinal concept in bioenergetics. In nutritional bioenergetics also known as physiological bioenergetics we are concerned about energy entering into the organism as food and its partitioning into various forms of work. The quantity of food consumed is also known as ration (C).
