Abstract

Proteins are macromolecules, which are biopolymers made up of many monomers which are known as amino acids. Of the three carbohydrate, lipid and protein, it is only proteins which contain nitrogen. The sequence in which these amino acids occur in a particularprotein follows a precise order, which is genetically controlled.
