Abstract

Parapenaeus fissurus Bate is known as Neptune rose shrimp. It is reported from depths of 5O m or more (Holythuis, 1980). It is now found to be present at Sasssoon dock, Mumbai in trawler catches along with re- flemingo shrimp P. longipes Alcock. reported for the first time along Mahashtra coast and is an addition to the list of praws given by Kunju (1967).
