Abstract
Liza parsia of 85—120 mm size and 6.50 —13.25 g weight were collected live by cast nets from brackishwater canals of Puduvypeen area in Cochin. They were acclimatized to laboratory condition for about 2 weeks by maintaining in salinity 10.0 ± 1.0%, pH 6.0±0.5 and temperature 27.5°± 1.5°C. To avoid fungal attack the medium was treated with 11 mg of malachite green per 100 litres of water.
