Abstract

ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi, carried the message of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and community participation to diverse public spaces as part of Swachhta Hi Seva 2026. A team of senior women scientists and staff of ICAR-CMFRI, along with retired personnel and research scholars, visited Silent Valley National Park, Kerala, and interacted with visitors as part of an awareness campaign. The team sensitised visitors on avoiding littering, proper waste segregation, recycling and responsible practices essential for protecting natural ecosystems.
