Abstract
In a beach clean-up drive as part of World Ocean Day, the ICAR-CMFRI removed around 300 kg of litter from Puthuvype beach. The clean-up was carried out by staff and research scholars of CMFRI's Marine Biodiversity, Environment and Management Division. Participants segregated waste, which included plastic bottles, food packaging, fishing debris, and other non-biodegradable litter that had accumulated along the shoreline.
