Abstract
The commensal habits of Gattyana deludens Fauvel with the hermit crabs Diogenes diogenes Herbst and D. castas Fabricius is described based on collections from off Kakinada, Madras, Nagapatnam and from Quilon, Azhikode, Calicut and Mangalore. The knowledge of their distribution is extended towards the west coast of India by the present studies.
