Abstract
Indian marine fisheries have been in a phase of significant expansion over the past decade. As international import standards become increasingly stringent, the transparency and factual accuracy of the state of resources and fisheries in countries such as India, which have a substantial stake and increasing prospects in this sector, are being subjected to the scrutiny by a plethora of agencies.
