Abstract
A juvenile Giant grouper Epinephelus lanceolatus (Bloch, 1790) was caught by the gillnet at Korapuzha estuary, Elathur near Calicut in June 2010. Epinephelus lanceolatus is included in the IUCN red list of threatened species under the vulnerable (VU) category.
