Abstract

Plankton collections obtained during the research cruises of R.V. Varuna along the south-west coast of lndia and the Laccadive Sea were examined for a detailed study of ostracods. Specimens of a hitherto undescribed species of Conchoeeia were obtained from six stations. The species is described here as new to science and is placed under the magna group of species of the genus.
