Abstract

Body is deep and mouth is oblique with maxillary almost reaching to below front border of the eye. Preorbital and suborbital with a row of elongate scales, the lower borders of which are finely denticulated. It has 4-5 irregular rows of scales on preopercle and one on inferior limb. A narrow posterior limb is naked.
