Abstract
Fish is the largest renewable living resource exploitClI from the nature. In recent years, rational utilization and sustaining the fish stocks is receiving increasing attention. The dynamics and complexities of fish stocks pose great challenge to achieve these goals. Suflicient knowledge on the fosh stocks is essential, to exploit these resources, and ro slosiain the fisheries. III this textbook, seleered methods on fish stock assessment are described with examples and calculation procedures. The major portion of the book deals with the basic single species analysis with particular reference ro fosh stocks in the Indian waters.
