Abstract
This survey of seaweed resources off Tamil Nadu coast was organised as a coordinated project jointly by the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute and Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute. The survey is to cover an area from Tuticorin to Kanyakumari in 3 years during 1986 89. First phase is designated as Sector I and extends from Kattapadu (north of Tuticorin) to Tiruchendur.
