Abstract
Among the pollutants, the heavy metal needs special mention as it is key indicator o f the impact o f industrialization. Metal content ot water varies from place to place due to different geographical features, geochemical environment and industrial pollution. It is reasonable to assum e that the variation o f trace element content of water will definitely reflect in the trace element content o f sediment and hence in the tissue living in the ambient column
