Abstract

About 67 purse-seiners landed catch ranging from 8 to 40 t per boat. The average catch landed during the day was about 938 t. The total length of S. longiceps landed ranged from 9 to 16 cm. The entire catch was iced, loaded in trucks and transported to Karnataka for fish meal production.
