Abstract
About 50 to 55 numbers of the honeycomb stingray, Himantura uarnak (Fig.1) were washed ashore at Mankeshwar beach near Uran coast in Raigad District of Maharashtra on 21st August 2010. These fishes were about 4 feet long and about 3 feet in disc width.
