Abstract

Gamete cryopreservation is a wide and complex topic. It is not confined to Cryobiology alone, but also encompasses into complementary disciplines like Reproductive Biology, Cell Physiology and so on. Cryopreservation of gametes also covers invertebrate and vertebrate species and it addresses various cell and tissue types, more complex sperm aggregates called spermatophores and multifunctional tissues like eggs and embryos.
