Abstract
Fish is sometimes scarce and very dear and at other times plentiful leading to glut. Their catches fluctuate not only from year to year but also from place to place. Marine fish landings in our country consist of a variety of them. The oil sardine, mackerel, anchovies, prawns, tuns, seer fishes, pomfret, threadfin bream, cat fish, and shark are some of the popular items. But they are not caught throughout the year.
