Abstract

As has been demonstrated in many recent papers (Hora, 1941; Hora & Law 1941 ; Raj, 1941; Herre, 1945; Silas, 1951), tbe Western Ghats of Peninsular India, especially the hill ranges lying to the south of the Neilgherries have proved one of the most fertile fields for ichthyological discoveries
