Abstract

The Sacred chank, Xancus pyrum var. acuta (Bolten) is exploited commercially from the intertldal and reef habitat in the Gulf of Kutch along the Jamnagar District. Fishery is mostly done by hand picking at low tides in the intertldal zones.
