Abstract
The resources surveys conducted by the research vessels Sardinella and Rastrelliger of the Pelagic Fishery Project for the past four years from Ratnagiri to Gulf of Mannar have not only enhanced our knowledge of the magnitude, seasonal distribu- tion and abundance of the pelagic fish resources but also of the efficient methods of harvesting the resources.
