Abstract

The Sergistid shrimp, Acetes sp. contributes seasonal fishery along the Maharashtra coast. The article provide the details regarding the landing of different species of this Sergistid shrimp in three fish landing centres namely Versova, Sassoon Dock and Trombay of Bombay coast. The biological studies like body measurements gut content analysis and maturity stages were also studied. It was anticipated that this fishery resource can fetch better foreign exchange.
