Abstract
The role played by Quality Control research in improving the quality of fisheries products manufactured in India is reviewed. The impact of improvements in sanitary conditions in the fishing boats, primary processing centres and factories, care of water and ice supplies and measures to control the production processes at various stages, on the physical and chemical quality and bacteriological content of the products u discussed in detail.
