Abstract
Murburn concept (derived from “mured burning”) is a paradigm shift in the theoretical framework for redox biology and bioenergetics. A two-day seminar-cumbrainstorming on advances in murburn theory and applications was held at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi, during 3–4 August 2026 by the Swadeshi Science Movement Kerala (Vijnana Bharati) in collaboration with ICAR-CMFRI and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Number of registrants attended was 125—comprising 105 students and 20 faculty members. Additionally, over 30 senior faculty members, subject matter specialists, and institutional heads attended as invited expert delegates. The scientific panel discussions, conducted in hybrid mode with active participation from multidisciplinary researchers across India and abroad (Japan, Germany, Slovenia, Belgium, Oman, Italy and the United States).
