Abstract

DeepDATA is a mobile platform that allows users to browse verified deep sea species records, explore taxonomy details, and contribute new entries, all through a secure, easy to use interface. Developed under DOM VERTICAL-III: Automated Identification of Marine Species with Artificial Neural Networks to Enhance the Exploration and Sustainable Utilisation of Deep Sea Marine Fishes, funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MOES). This application serves as a growing digital repository for deep sea fish species of the Indian EEZ. Every submission goes through an admin verification process before being published, keeping the database accurate and scientifically credible
