Abstract

ICAR-KVK (Ernakulam) of Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute is becoming more farmer friendly by implementing various programmes and facilities for public. The CMFRI ATIC/KVK sales counter at CMFRI near High Court junction is visited by average 30 farmers daily for purchase of seeds and organic agro inputs. We are able to supply organic inputs in its purest form to ensure hassle free farming to produce safe food. In order to ensure further reach for KVK products, we are planning to initiate a mobile sales counter service in the district in collaboration with Kerala Agricultural University. The Kisan Mobile Advisory Service which we are commencing shortly is intended to pass on timely and seasonal advices to farmers through mobile phone networks
