Abstract

Billfish are large migratory pelagic fish that inhabit tropical and subtropical oceans. There are ten species worldwide, categorized under Sailfish, Marlins, Spearfishes, and Swordfish. Sailfish and marlins caught from the Eastern Arabian Sea were found to be infested with an enigmatic parasite Pennella instructa.
