Abstract
മനുഷ്യൻറെ ഭക്ഷ്യ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ഏറുമ്പോൾ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ ഉൽപാദനക്ഷമത കൂട്ടാൻ ശാസ്ത്രലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവിധി ജനിതക (ജീനോം ) എഡിറ്റിങ്ങിൽ എത്തിനിൽക്കുന്നു. ഈ സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയുടെ ബലത്തിൽ രോഗചികിത്സയ്‌ക്കും അവയവമാറ്റത്തിനും വരെ മനുഷ്യൻ മൃഗങ്ങളെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന കാലം വിദൂരമല്ലെന്ന് യു എ ഇയിൽ ബയോടെക്‌നോളജി കൺസൾട്ടന്റ് ആയി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഡോ. ടി.ജെ റസൂൽ പറഞ്ഞു
