Abstract

The presence of dugong along the Cutch and Saurashtra coast was reported by Prater (1928), Moses (1942) and Mani (I960) where it is known popularly as ' Babloo', Jones (1959) has given a fairly detailed account of Dugong dugon(Miiller) along the Indian coast.
