Abstract

Heavy landings of Loligo singhalensis, Ortmann, 1891 was observed at Pamban, along the Gulf of Mannar Coast, Tamil Nadu during the first fortnight of November 2010 as bycatch from trawlnet fisheries mainly targeting medium to large pelagics off Pamban.
