Abstract

This relatively small-sized species is known only from the holotype collected offshore of Chilka Lake, India at 20 m. Reports from Mozambique and Bangladesh need to be evaluated; reports from the Gulf of Thailand are probably based on misidentifications. No data are available on population size or trends, habitats and ecology or potential threats. Therefore, it is listed as Data Deficient.
