Abstract
Growing general interest in marine mangrove and estuarine habitats in recent years has also led to an increase in studies pertaining to marine microflora which were often overlooked as 'participants' in the ecological processes. The biological agents of decomposition in the mangroves are indigenous heterotropic bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes.
