Primary Objectives
- Provide open access to ICAR-CMFRI's research outputs to the global scientific community
- Enhance the visibility, accessibility, and impact of CMFRI research
- Preserve the intellectual heritage of CMFRI for future generations
- Support the institute's mission of excellence in marine fisheries research
- Enable systematic management of scientific publications and research data
Accepted Content Types
Eprints@CMFRI accepts the following types of content authored by CMFRI staff/scholars:
- Peer-reviewed journal articles
- Conference papers and proceedings
- Books and book chapters
- Technical reports and bulletins
- Theses and dissertations
- Working papers and taxonomic posters
- Research datasets
- Educational materials and learning objects
- Multimedia content related to marine fisheries research
- CMFRI institutional publications and newsletters
Submission Policy
- All CMFRI researchers are encouraged to deposit their research outputs in Eprints@CMFRI.
- Submissions can be made directly by authors or mediated by the Librarian.
- All submissions must include the following Dublin Core compliant metadata:
- Title
- Author(s)
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Publication date
- Publication type
- Identifiers (DOI, ISBN, ISSN, etc. where applicable)
- Citation information (for published works)
- Subject classifications/Keywords
- Additional metadata specific to marine fisheries research if any
Access Levels
- Open Access: Content freely available to all users.
- Restricted Access: Content accessible only to CMFRI staff and authorized users.
- Metadata Only Access: Only metadata is visible, with full content available upon request.
License and Reuse Terms
- The default license for repository content is CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, unless otherwise specified.
- Authors retain copyright of their works unless explicitly transferred elsewhere.
- Metadata for all items is freely available for harvesting and reuse.
- OAI-PMH protocol is implemented for metadata harvesting.
- Attribution to Eprints@CMFRI is requested when metadata is reused.
Repository Management
The Library and Documentation Centre of ICAR-CMFRI oversees the daily operation of Eprints@CMFRI.
Technical support is provided by the Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU) of CMFRI.
The Eprints@CMFRI library team provides personalized, direct assistance to researchers to submit/retrieve information.
